Biography
MAVIC BUSH is a female guitarist, Musician, Composer and Session Guitar Player for different wellknown local bands in Venezuela, Spain, and Italy. Currently living in Palma de Majorca, Balearic Islands (Spain).
Venezuelan by birth. Both her parents were immigrants in this beautiful South American country, both from opposite ends of the world: Huelva, Spain (father), Grand Cayman, British West Indies (mother). Music has been a dynamic light and energy that promotes her creativity still today. Being such a strong influence, music has motivated her to engage her systematic studies and knowledge with the piano and guitar. Though, at age 15, she decided to take the guitar far more seriously towards becoming her lead instrument today.
Origins and tendencies as influential traits rely on rhythm and Blues, Funk, Rock and Pop genres such as: Led Zepplin, Beatles, Van Halen, Brian Setzer, BB King, Aerosmith, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Genesis, Marillion, Tears for Fears, U2, etc .. Inclining her own music and playing into an ECLECTIC R&B Rock. .
Was cofounder and lead guitar for an all girl band called “GATAS VERDES”, 2002–2011, with composition and arrangements of an album called “ AL OTRO LADO” (2011). Session player and performer with many local international bands such as: Tupelo Blues (R&B), 5th Element (ROCK POP), MP4 (Punk), Some Old Blues (R&B) among others.
Studied at Conservatory Jose Luis Paz in Maracaibo, Zulia (Venezuela). Elements and improvisation of Jazz Guitar with Giuseppe Continenza (Italy). Music Production at SONAR STUDIOS (USA) with DELVIS LUNA where she delved and improved even more her musical theory knowledge and practice, not only as a musician but additionally in the field of composition and arrangement skills, leading towards an independent artist.
Released an instructional DVD addressed to sharing guitar skills and general knowledge of music. “The Colors of Sound for the Guitar” (2012), of which several live workshops have been proposed.
